A local market had to cancel and move to the following day after intense rain and wind threatened the safety of the location and the atmosphere of the event. The Duck Pond Market at Gunnersbury Park which sits between Ealing and Acton is frequented by regular visitors every second and fourth Saturday of every month. Ealing was subjected to showers and strong winds between 6am and 12pm. The market was moved from Saturday 8th May to Sunday 9th of May which received sunny spells throughout the day. Meteorologists blame a jet stream from the unusual May weather. Founder of the market Caron Pook said: "It feels really chilled. There's a really nice vibe here today. It's very relaxed, everyone feels very happy."
