Dunklin Board News Today

The 2023 passage of Proposition Safe Schools has given the Dunklin R-5 District the ability to start improvements, including new safe entrances, a new competition gym, a new turf field, a new storage facility, and new lighting and sound systems in the district’s theater.

Cheryl Aylesworth attended her last Dunklin R-5 Board of Education meeting as a member on March 19. She was on the board for 12 years.

Dunklin R-5 on Aug. 1 began tearing down houses on property it owns in a step toward building a new gym at Herculaneum High School.

The Cooperative serves Pemiscot, Dunklin, and southern New Madrid counties, where broadband service has been built over the past five years.
