This year’s budget shows an increase from $19.4 million in 2020 to $20.19 million, but Council voted in favour of a zero per cent tax increase on the municipal portion of the taxes.
They also voted to cut their salaries by five per cent.
There will, however, be a 1.84 per cent increase due to the RCMP tax requisition and recreation. A non-residential commercial taxpayer will see that reflected as a 6.02 per cent increase on their tax notice.
