Dustin Marin won’t fly back to Victoria on Saturday after spending the night in hospital due to a kidney injury.
Martin sustained the setback after a brutal collision with Brisbane’s Mitch Robinson, which saw the 30-year-old come off second best and eventually withdrawn from the game.
“Scans have revealed Dustin Martin has suffered a kidney injury in last night’s match against Brisbane,” a club statement read on Saturday morning.
“Martin left the field in discomfort after an incident in the third quarter and was taken to a Gold Coast hospital following the win. He remains in hospital for assessment.”
