Orlando monument commemorates South's first integrated Little League baseball game
Different worlds came together in a historic moment in Orlando in August 1955 when the Pensacola Jaycees, an all-Black Little League team, took on the all-white Orlando Kiwanis on their home turf at Optimist Park next to Lake Lorna Doone. It was the first known integrated Little League game in the South.
