The Homicide Unit is investigating the incident at the 500 block of Fountain Avenue, LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said.

Neither body has been recovered yet, Louisville Metro Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell said Friday afternoon.

Louisville Metro Police responded to a fatal hit-and-run crash Friday morning along Newburg Road, according to the department.

The 8-year-old boy was shot Wednesday afternoon in the 1800 block of Carl Court, with the injuries appearing to be not life-threatening, LMPD said.

Louisville police confirmed two 2022 homicide victims were pregnant, which brings the city’s death toll to eight just 11 days into the new year.

Lawrence P. Williamson, 65, was arrested and charged with murder Saturday, LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell said.

Police are still investigating if the shootings are related.
