Oklahoma cowboy breaks collarbone during CNFR on Monday

A contestant from Southeastern Oklahoma State University was injured on Monday morning during slack at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper.
According to a release from the CNFR, Dylan Riggins was competing in the bareback riding event when the horse he was riding fell and rolled over on top of him.
According to an account from the Casper Star-Tribune, the horse reared up and “planted Riggins’ neck and upper back straight into the dirt” before landing on top of him.

The CNFR says Riggins was attended by the sports medicine team and local emergency personnel before being transported to the Wyoming Medical Center for treatment.
