>> so briefly, what is your response to trump officials saying it had nothing to do with the russian government, it was just an adoption meeting, more or less. >> i think some of the e-mail chains that were released suggest there were links to the russian government and this is how the russian government operates. they wouldnt send officials from the embassy necessarily, or someone with an official government title. they would send someone who knows someone well at the top levels of the russian ...

Committee that theres really nothing to that meeting at all. he didnt follow the e-mail chains going back and forth. tried to ask him if he regretted that meeting in we expect maybe four to six staffers to be in that meeting. no members will be in there. he will not be under oath. doesnt mean he cannot tell the whole truth. misleading congress in any way is something that can be prosecuted. this is the first of two meetings on capitol hill. his team telling suzanne mall zoe, maybe not more than ...

Tapes of any of these conversations. we may find that the secret service actually is aware of who went in and out of those meetings. how long they lasted. there may be recordings that the russians have of the conversations that were had between donald trump jr. and emin. which its been pointed out that that seems to have happened. we dont know that for sure, but for sure the e-mail chain suggests that emin was on stage in moscow, and as soon as he got off, they were going to talk. it seems like ...

The part of the president to want former director james comey to, quote, lift the cloud of russia. it wasnt -- i dont think it can -- it can no longer be brushed aside as just something that he wanted to go away because it was inconvenient. so, i think theres going to be a parallel intensification of the investigation on that front. and there are going to be multiple lines of inquiry that unfold from this, and even if this e-mail doesnt rise to the level of crime, we have to remember, you know a...

Before, it was already clear what a valuable tool it is both to ensure that the right people are caught and prosecuted, but also to make sure that the wrong people are unfairly accused. and it strikes me as just good sense law enforcement to try to come up with a way to make that tool more readily available and more rapidly available. >> thank you. in 2015, the fbi investigated secretary clintons server system and determined that 81 e-mail chains contained classified information ranging from con...

Possibility that this treason -- this is treason. but i think that the focus on donald trump jr. is perhaps somewhat misguided, because hes the only person whos e-mails we have. what about jared kushners e-mails? what about paul manaforts e-mails? what one thing about e-mails is very easy to copy people. and its very easy to have e-mail chains that involve lots of people. so i dont think we should think we have seen all the relevant e-mails just because weve seen donald trump jr.s e-mails. what ...

Testifying before congress. comey told members of the senate judiciary committee hillary clintons aide huma abedin forwarded hundreds and thousands of e-mails to her husbands laptop. it turns out that isnt correct. lets bring in our cnn correspondent jessica schneider. jessica, what is the fbi saying now? >> reporter: wolf, no apology but instead a clarification. the fbi is now saying that instead of hundreds and thousands of eve mails that james comey said huma abedin manually forwarded, instea...
