Bursa Malaysia ended the morning trading session lower in tandem with regional peers in taking the lead from Wall Street as investors continued to fret over the prospects for the US economy and as oil jumped to a 13-week high, a dealer said.
Notable filings For the week of Nov 29 to Dec 3, notable changes in shareholding at companies listed on Bursa Malaysia included those at EA Holdings Bhd (EAH), which saw property developer VinVest Capital Holdings Bhd, formerly Vivocom Intl Holdings Bhd, emerge as a substantial shareholder of the ACE Market-listed IT company.
KUALA LUMPUR (March 12): The FBM KLCI continued to extend its losses today, finishing 0.84% or 13.72 points lower at 1,615.69.
According to Rakuten Trade Research head of equity sales Vincent Lau, the index was down due to profit taking ahead of the weekend amid mixed performances regionally.
Specifically, Supermax Corp Bhd, CIMB Group Holdings Bhd and Top Glove Corp Bhd posted declines today. While the FBM KLCI declined, indices such as the FBM ACE, FBM Small Cap and FBM Fledgling indices posted gains.
The FBM ACE was up 2.13% or 222.07 points higher at 10,665.19, while the Small Cap was up by 0.19% or 31.13 points at 16,806.82. Meanwhile, the Fledgling Index finished 0.77% or 164.52 points higher at 21,551.02.

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 22): The main index of Bursa Malaysia reversed its loss and ticked higher in the mid-morning today, tracking regional markets, but gains were seen limited.
At 10am, the FBM KLCI had added 0.18 points to 1,585.11. The index earlier slipped to a low of 1,585.54.
Gainers led losers by 541 to 441, while 367 counters traded unchanged. Trading volume was 3.95 billion shares valued at RM1.39 billion.
The gainers included Heineken Malaysia Bhd, Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia Bhd, Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd, Pimpinan Ehsan Bhd, Nestle (Malaysia) Bhd, Kobay Technology Bhd, KESM Industries Bhd and Petronas Gas Bhd (PetGas).
The actively traded stocks included Key Alliance Group Bhd, Nexgram Holdings Bhd, Mestron Holdings Bhd, Dolphin International Bhd, AT Systematization Bhd, EA Holdings Bhd and Sapura Energy Bhd.
