According to an American Community survey from 2013, to be considered middle class in pennsylvania, you need a Median Household Income of about 52,000 a year. In new jersey, its 70,000. And in delaware, about 58,000. But theres more to those numbers. Where the middle class lives, what they do, how they think may have as much of an impact when it comes to defining the middle class as their salary.
