According to an international group helping refugees resettle in Montana, the month-old parole process grants qualified Afghans a two-year stay in the United States.

The potential 75 evacuees coming to Montana may not all be classified as Special Immigrant Visa refugees, some might be considered humanitarian parolees.

The 75 Afghan refugees will be arriving in Montana during the coming months, starting as soon as early October.

The U.S. Department of State has announced that 75 Afghan refugees will be settled in Missoula. Comments have been coming in from the offices of Governor Greg Gianforte, Senator Steve Daines and U.S. Representative Matt Rosendale.

The majority of the appointments were brought to Cabinet by the Department of the Taoiseach. They included the Taoiseach’s Chief of Staff Deirdre Gillane, Mr Martin’s Deputy Chief of Staff Pat McParland along with political advisers Alan Ahearne, Lisa Dee Collery and Grainne Weld. Tánaiste Leo Varadkar appointed Brian Murphy as his Chief of Staff along with advisers Angela Flanagan, Philip O’Callaghan, Claire Mungoan, Sara O’Neill and Matt Lynch.
