Early Learning Child Care Program News Today

Some families in Lanark County are facing a significant increase in childcare costs this fall, after learning the home daycares they rely on will no longer receive funding under the Canada-wide Early Learning Child Care program.

A new proposal to expand access to child care in New York and inject new funding into the struggling industry has been introduced in the state Legislature, which is expected to consider the issue as part of next year’s state budget.
