Repairs are ongoing to prevent the flooding of homes in East Yorkshire.
A helicopter has been used today to drop sandbags into position to fill a breach in the side of the Aire and Calder Navigation, close to the villages of East and West Cowick.
Water continues to gush into fields close to the M62 as authorities race to stem the flow.
It is understood that no homes are in imminent danger at this stage althougha two flood warnigns are in place for the area.

Properties in Snaith and East Cowick were decimated by floods in February and March and the authorities are trying to avoid a repeat
