Muscle Shoals woman killed in crash near Priceville

An 88-year-old woman was killed following a two-vehicles crash about five miles east of Priceville Friday morning.
Christeen Gautney Hoper was killed from injuries she suffered when the 2009 Ford Taurus she was driving was struck around 11:25 a.m. by a 2018 GMC Sierra. Hooper, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The passenger of the Ford, who was also not wearing a seatbelt, was transported by helicopter to a nearby hospital for treatment. The identity of that driver was not provided by ALEA, which is handling the crash’s investigation. The driver’s condition is also unknown.
