In 2022-23 over 2.35 crore vehicles crossed the Vashi toll plaza, of which 1.68 crore were private vehicles that shelled out close to Rs 70 crore in tolls.
Toll rates at five major entry points into Mumbai will increase from October 1. The toll hike, ranging from 12.50% to 18.75%, will impact commuters and transporters. The affected entry points include Dahisar, LBS Road-Mulund, Eastern Express Highway-Mulund, Airoli Creek Bridge, and Vashi. The last time toll rates were revised was in October 2020.
