Times Report Here’s the latest batch of higher education-related accolades, accomplishments and milestones impacting local and area students: NCTC spring graduates     Northland Community & Technical College announces the members of its graduating class of Spring 2021. The class of 2021 was recognized during a special virtual graduation celebration ceremony on May 13. Northland Community & Technical College grants certificates (CERT), diplomas (DIP), Associate in Applied Science (AAS), Associate of Arts (AA), and/or Associate of Science (AS) degrees for the successful completion of each student s respective program. Gabe Monteith named Mr CHS 2021

Gabe Monteith named Mr. CHS 2021 Times Report Crookston Times Crookston High School crowned senior Gabe Monteith a virtual winner at their 22nd annual Mr. CHS contest Sunday in the auditorium. Monteith was unable to attend, being home under quarantine, and submitted videos for his talent where he played guitar, formal wear and for the Q & A round. He also won prizes for being selected the winner of People’s Choice, formal wear, and Q & A. First runner-up was Karsten Isaacson and second runner-up was Easton Tangquist. The theme was “Dinosaurs” and a large dinosaur balloon stood onstage in place of Monteith and was later “belted” the winner by Mr. CHS 2020 Walker Winjum.

Mr CHS event will be held Sunday

Mr. CHS event will be held Sunday Times Report Crookston Times     The Mr. CHS event will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 14 in the Crookston High School Auditorium with seven contestants vying for the coveted belt. Entering its 22nd year, this year’s contestants are Easton Tangquist, Jacob Miller, Gabe Monteith, Karsten Isaacson, Andrew MacGregor, Noah Kiel and Lucas Winger.     Mr. CHS 2020, Walker Winjum, will be the one to usher in Sunday’s champion.     Tickets for the event are available at Crookston High School or through CHS Leo Club Advisor Linda Morgan.     The theme for the event is DINOSAURS and CHS senior Victoria Proulx has been working with the contestants on the opening act and their talent acts, Morgan told the Times.
