EAU CLAIRE (WKBT) Officials in Eau Claire are doing what they can to prepare for a hospital closure happening four weeks earlier than what was previously announced.
Shane Helmbrecht, a missing at-risk veteran, has been located in Mexico by federal agencies. He is currently awaiting extradition in a Chicago jail for his alleged involvement in a 2016 Eau Claire homicide case. Helmbrecht, who was declared not competent to stand trial previously, is expected to have his extradition hearing on Tuesday.
