Pre-school outdoor activities reduced to 2 children per group amid stricter COVID-19 measures

SINGAPORE: Pre-schools will reduce the group size for outdoor activities to two children from the same class, down from five previously, as part of stricter COVID-19 safe management measures.
The changes will be in effect from May 16 to Jun 13, said the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) on Saturday (May 15).

SINGAPORE: A child at Bethesda (Pasir Ris) Kindergarten who had tested positive for COVID-19 was last in school more than two weeks before the diagnosis, said the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) on Monday (May 3).
The child tested positive on Apr 29 and had been under quarantine since Apr 15 after being identified as a close contact of a previous case.

Advertisement The child was hence last present at the pre-school more than two weeks ago on Apr 14, 2021, before testing positive on Apr 29, 2021, said an ECDA spokesperson.

SINGAPORE: The Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) will roll out measures to enhance inclusion and support for children with developmental needs, including the pilot for an Inclusive Support Programme (InSP).
Some children with developmental needs travel from pre-school in the morning to the Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children (EIPIC) centre in the afternoon, said Minister of State for Social and Family Development Sun Xueling on Friday (Apr 30) on the sidelines of her visit to a My First Skool centre.

SINGAPORE: More than 150,000 teachers and other workers in the education sector will be offered COVID-19 vaccinations from Wednesday (Mar 10).
The exercise is in line with the Ministry of Health s (MOH) efforts to extend vaccination to workers who offer essential services, said the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).
