Around 6:20 p.m. UDOT announced that eastbound I-84 has reopened from Henefer to Echo Junction; westbound I-84 was being limited to one lane as of 7:40 p.m. due to a hazardous materials incident.

COALVILLE — Residents within a mile of the I-80 and I-84 interchange in Summit County were asked to evacuate and both freeways were closed for a time after a semitruck hauling 10,000 gallons of propane crashed Wednesday afternoon, causing a propane leak. The crash happened shortly after 1 p.m. after a semitruck exited westbound I-80 to get onto I-84.
