The innovative ensemble Chess Club has officially dropped their highly anticipated debut EP, "They Wanted A Demo," in collaboration with some of the music industry's most talented artists. The project promises an electrifying blend of skill and humor, recorded live at the acclaimed Echo Mountain Studios in Asheville, NC.

The framework for a ninth album 'Strangers No More,' shows Drew Holcomb's meditation on gratefulness and connectedness. 

“All The Money In The World” was written by Holcomb and Dave Barnes (Carrie Underwood, Marren Morris, Blake Shelton). The new album was recorded in Asheville, NC at Echo Mountain Studios with Cason Cooley (Ben Rector, Ingrid Michaelson) producing and is the band’s ninth.

This band, along with the Infamous Stringdusters and the Punch Brothers, are among our favorite progressive newgrass bands with brand new releases. Also like the ‘Dusters, this new one addresses some of the current events that give us, well, stress dreams. Greensky formed in Michigan in 2000, but they recorded two of the three sessions that make up this new one at Echo Mountain Studios in Asheville (the other in Vermont.)
