From Blackfoot songs and prayers to an Indigenous market and teepee raising, Lethbridge celebrated the 26th National Indigenous Peoples Day on Wednesday.

Organizers hope the activities share Indigenous culture through a modern perspective.

Adding to a Canada-wide movement, Lethbridge remembered and honoured missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and two-spirit people on Friday.

A display will be up in the Lethbridge river valley until mid-March aimed at honouring murdered and missing Indigenous women and girls (MMIWG).
