Two ‘eclipse chasers’ will join thousands of others flocking to Exmouth in Western Australia’s north this week to witness a total solar eclipse. Exmouth will have the best view in the world.

Thousands of dedicated eclipse chasers are set to arrive in Western Australia in less than a month to catch the best view of the "magnificent event in the sky".

History might give you the impression astronomical discoveries were only done by men. But women were participating in scientific expeditions of eclipses too, even though it wasn’t easy.

We have a long history of observing these dramatic solar events, but the next 15 years will give us three shots at experiencing one.
