We dive into the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse, including its time, path, how to prepare, how to find eclipse glasses and more.

We are just over a week away from seeing what some are calling the astronomical event of the decade. Here's everything to know to prepare.

While there won't be totality in California, the state will still enjoy an impressive partial eclipse in the late morning — if the skies remain cloud-free.

All told in a 200 year period, Tallahassee has seen the sun go totally dark in 1918, 1970, and will again in 2045 and 2052.

It's almost time for the April 8 solar eclipse everyone has been talking about for nearly a year, and whether or not you're in the path of totality, you'll still need a way to safely look at the sun.

NASA said Friday that when the moon passes in front of the Sun April 8, most of North America will be able to see it. Millions along the path of totality from Texas to Maine will be able to see a total eclipse.

From glasses to an eclipse-friendly phone lens, these are everything you could possibly need for a perfect (and safe) viewing experience on April 8.

Your phone can’t take a perfectly clear picture of a solar eclipse like a professional camera can, but there are lots of other creative directions you can take to capture the rare moment.

"I'm anxious, and I want to live to see it. I didn't want to live to my birthday, I wanted to live to see this. And I guess I'll make it. It's not too far away," Pelkey expressed with anticipation.
