School boards across the province are bracing for the total solar eclipse that will grace Canadian skies in early April. Several school boards are considering closing while others argue it could be a learning opportunity for students.

Quebec is set to witness an astronomical event that hasn't been seen in the province for over 50 years. On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will grace the sky, as the moon moves in front of the sun. But you have to pick the right place to see it (hint: not Laval).

On April 8, 2024, a solar eclipse will cross North America. Montreal lies directly in its path. From much of the city, the moon will appear to completely block out the sun — a total eclipse.
