Blood Moon total lunar eclipse will be visible across most of the United States this weekend
A blood moon will occur late Sunday, May 15, into early Monday May 16. It will be visible in most of the U.S. including in the Philadelphia region. A blood moon is night May’s full Flower Moon on Sunday, May 15, will coincide with 2022’s first Blood Moon total lunar eclipse. Philadelphia residents will be able to view the red moon for up to 90 minutes, though it will be most visible at 12:11 a.m. on Monday, May 16.
