SCF Trustee Ed Bailey and President Dr. Carol F. Probstfeld (State College of Florida)
State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) celebrated a soft opening for its 26 West Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Jan. 13. The ceremony began with opening remarks by SCF President Dr. Carol F. Probstfeld. SCF would not have achieved this milestone without the strong partnership between SCF, our local employers, the Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County and the Bradenton Area Economic Development Corporation, said Dr. Probstfeld. We look forward to facilitating growth among our local community of visionary entrepreneurs and providing ready access to a quality workforce to our talented students.

It is an honour to be able to present the awards to such a diverse and hardworking group of recipients, Fraser Coast mayor George Seymour said. The recipients have volunteered thousands of hours of their time to the Fraser Coast community over many years which is one of the reasons our community is so vibrant, resilient and caring. Australia Day is a good opportunity for the community to reflect on the thousands of people who volunteer at the hundreds of organisations, groups and sporting clubs across the region.
