Noida CEO Ritu Maheshwari on Tuesday said that Supertech twin towers will be demolished on August 21. A pre-demolition structural audit of the identified areas will be done by demolition firm Edifice Engineering.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday extended the deadline for the demolition of Supertechs twin towers in Noida to August 28. Earlier, the top court had granted time for the demolition of towers until May 22.

The Supreme Court today extended till August 28 the deadline for demolition of twin 40-storey towers of Supertech in Noida after the court was informed that the building is stronger than expected and that the demolition will require more time.

Edifice Engineering had informed SC that it would require three months deferment as the test blast revealed structure is stronger than anticipated
