In its 22 April 1980 issue, the AJ printed a double-page spread of work by architectural photographer and former AJ news editor Sam Lambert following his death, aged 54. Lambert’s photographs appeared in the AJ and The Architectural Review and he also worked with the Architectural Association, the British Travel and Holidays Association and many architectural practices – eventually in colour!
