ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) Mats Zuccarello scored twice and Nick Bonino had a goal and two assists on Wednesday to lead the Minnesota Wild past the Arizona Coyotes 5-2.
It was the Wild’s first game since the death on Sunday of 20-year-old Daunte Wright, a Black man fatally shot by police during a traffic stop. The Wild’s game on Monday against St. Louis was postponed until next month., and this game was moved to 1 p.m. local time.
Both of Zuccarello’s goals came on Minnesota’s resurgent power play, which converted all three of its opportunities in the game. The Wild have 12 power-play goals in their past seven games.

The Colorado Avalanche scored five goals in a matter of 3:27 in the first period and went on to defeat the Arizona Coyotes 9-3 on Wednesday night at Ball Arena.
Joonas Donskoi scored three times during the Avs run in the opening frame for his second career hat trick and also added an assist on Andre Burakovsky s second marker of the game late in the third period. Gabriel Landeskog tallied twice, while Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and Mikko Rantanen notched markers as well. Landeskog (two goals, assist) and Rantanen (one goal, two assists) both finished with three-point nights.
