A Silver City man has been arrested and charged with eight felony counts, after execution of a search warrant which allegedly uncovered child pornography shut down a block of downtown Silver City for several hours last week.
The Silver City Police Department, with the assistance of Homeland Security investigations, arrested Edward Jerome Byrne at 8:02 a.m. Thursday, May 6. Byrne’s charges, as approved by Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Clark, include seven counts of sexual exploitation of a child under the age of 13 years old in the third degree and one count of sexual exploitation of a child under the age of 13 years old in the fourth degree.
