eHostela continues to grow in popularity, there s no denying that the character of Mndeni has played a huge role in winning Mzansi over and the actor behind the dynamic character, Thobani Nzuza, has shared how the journey has been since season one.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE recently, Thobani explained just how much playing Mndeni changed his life and how it challenged him.

The second season of eHostela has toppled The Queen as pay broadcaster DStv’s second most-watched show, with the TV drama’s creative director Mandla N crediting the victory on working with a black cast and crew.
According to the January data by the Broadcast Research Council of SA, the show that returned last month drew an impressive rating of 1.76-million viewers on January 10. This means it pushed down to the third spot Connie and Shona Ferguson’s daily drama The Queen (1.66 million viewers).

After being away from the spotlight for several months last year, Sjava has lifted the lid on being forced to return home to KwaZulu-Natal due to having no gigs and his short stint as a villain on
eHostela.
Cast by award-winning director Mandla N to “shake things up” on the show as a villain called Fish, Sjava told the TshisaPOD how his character was all about entertainment.
