“The Queensland Police Service has been contacted and the department will continue to
work closely with them as investigations continue,” the spokesman said.
“Schools are important community assets that deserve to be protected.
“We want the community to be our eyes and ears and report any suspicious activity to police or contact the School Watch hotline 13 17 88.”
Most Queensland students headed back to the classroom for the first day of term 1 on Wednesday.
