Chakwera challenges Graduates to Create One Million Jobs By Salome Gangire Mzuzu, May 11, Mana: President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has challenged graduates to be bold and create new opportunities on the job market instead of competing for the old ones. Chakwera was speaking Tuesday at Rafiki Institute in Mzuzu when he attended the 14th University of Livingstonia graduation where 521 students graduated with certificates, Diplomas, Degree and Masters Degrees. The President said Malawi is rising out of the ashes of obscurity and mismanagement, but her ability to reach her destiny of shared prosperity as envisioned by Malawi 2063, demands a new measure of strength from the nation’s educated minds.

BE SOLUTION PROVIDERS, CHAKWERA URGES UNILIA GRADUANDS

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has advised graduating students in various universities in the country to help provide solutions to the country’s development challenges. Dr Chakwera made the remarks at Rafik Institute in Mzuzu during the 14th congregation of the University of Livingstonia of the CCAP Church. “Building a new Malawi lies in the hands of everyone so use your education to help develop the country, said Dr Chakwera. The president then advised the graduating students not to give up even if the going gets tough. Speaking earlier the church’s General Secretary Rev. William Tembo commended government for providing technical, material and financial support to the Synod’s education.
