California Pintos football rode a wave of momentum into its week seven game on Saturday against the Roosevelt Roughriders out of St. Louis.

The Russellville Indians hit the road tonight to take on the Crystal City Hornets. Game time between the Indians and Hornets is 7 p.m. Russellville is coming off a 28-22 loss last Friday night to Scotland County to wrap up a three-game homestand.

The Russellville Indians look to get back in the win column tonight when they host the Carrollton Trojans. Russellville is coming off a 45-15 loss last Friday night to Diamond. Diamond led 6-0 after one quarter before extending its advantage to 32-0 at the half.

The Russellville Indians will open their home schedule tonight when they take on the Diamond Wildcats. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. Russellville is coming off a 36-6 loss last week at Van-Far after opening the season with a 49-0 victory against Missouri Military Academy.

The Russellville Indians are getting some state-wide attention. For the first time in program history, Russellville received votes in the Missouri Media Rankings this week.

Blair Oaks senior Dylan Bryan was playing in the Class 3 boys golf state championships for a third time, so he knew the formula to have a successful two-day tournament at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club. “I knew you couldn’t make mistakes,” Bryan said. “You can’t make any big numbers out here, the (double-bogeys) will kill you. You just have to take your medicine and make bogey at worst.”

ASHLAND -- The Fulton Hornets Dusty Hagens tossed a no-hitter (threw 75 pitches, 43 strikes) while striking out eight and walking two in six innings en route to winning the Fulton Tournament for the fourth "confirmed" time.

It wasn’t the prettiest game for the Helias Crusaders, except maybe on the scoreboard. “It’s an ugly win, but a win is a win,” Helias coach Chris Wyrick said Monday after the Crusaders used a three-run fifth inning to rally for a 5-3 victory against the Eldon Mustangs at the American Legion Post 5 Sports Complex. “We cannot survive playing like this, we have to play cleaner baseball.”

For a while, it seemed like the first inning might be the only good inning for the Blair Oaks offense this week. Fortunately for the Falcons, they had a breakthrough in the fifth and sixth innings Tuesday night. Blair Oaks took advantage of a few crucial errors and a few pitching mishaps to pull away to an 8-2 victory against the Eldon Mustangs in a Tri-County Conference matchup at the Falcon Athletic Complex.
