On Thursday, Somalia’s lower house elected former Minister of Commerce Adan Madobe as the new speaker.

The National Election Committee (NEC) instructed the municipal and provincial election commissions to request cooperation from the provincial board of governors to hold joint weekly meetings in-person or online.
