The government is reviewing its Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme and considering reopening the window for some sectors. The PLI scheme aims to boost Indian manufacturing by subsiding production to better compete with other countries. Currently available in 14 manufacturing sectors, there have been mixed results with the scheme so far.
