The Temple Covenant of Peace synagogue in Easton’s West Ward no longer has its eye on a sale to 7-Eleven for its next convenience store.
Synagogue representatives last year initially began discussing plans for 7-Eleven to possibly set up shop at 1451 Northampton St. as the temple finalized its merger with Bnai Abraham Synagogue in neighboring Wilson Borough. Now, Harvey Cartine, who serves as co-president with Dr. Marc Abo of the new Congregation Bnai Shalom, told lehighvalleyive.com the property is being sold instead to Life Church.
