NEW YORK (AP) — Center fielder Michael Harris II was activated from the injured list by the Atlanta Braves on Friday ahead of a four-game series against the New York Mets. The reigning National League Rookie of the Year was injured as he slid awkwardly while stealing second base against San Diego on April 6.

Harris played in just seven games this season before landing on the 10-day IL due to a lower back strain. While initial indications from the team were that Harris could be back after only a minimum stay on the IL, he wound up missing about three weeks of action due to the issue.
