a man convicted on two counts of first degree murder is now dead. elias: back in september of 2015, jerry dillinger shot and killed loretta dillinger and another man. during his court appearance earlier this year, he plead guilty to both charges of first degree murder. after pleading guilty, dillinger declined a trial and asked to be sentenced on the spot. dillinger was to serve two consecutive life sentences at oakdale prison. and was ordered to pay restitution to both loretta and the robinson families. today, he was found dead from an apparent suicide at the iowa medical and classification center in oakdale. elias: also new this morning a young metro man brandon ellingson was taken into custody in 2014 by trooper anthony piercy on suspicion of boating while intoxicated. while handcuffed, he fell overboard and drowned. earlier this month a special prosecutor in the case filed involuntary manslaughter charges against piercy, who authorities. this morning, piercey had his fir
