The price of the Meta Quest 2 VR headset is now permanently set at $249.99, but the future of VR gaming looks dim after a major VR-only game developer announced it is closing its doors.

The Oculus Quest 2 price cut is bittersweet

In a move that Meta is pitching as a way to "make VR more affordable and bring even more people into the community," the Facebook firm is permanently slashing the price of its previous generation Quest 2 VR headset

Meta has confirmed a permanent price cut for its best-selling Quest 2 VR headset — heres how much you can save now.

Months after releasing the Quest 3, Meta makes a Black Friday price drop for the Meta Quest 2 permanent and trims the cost of accessories like straps and carrying cases.

Meta has stopped sales of its Elite Strap for the Quest 3 after finding an issue with its charging capability.

Meta offers a slew of accessories for its headsets and a fan-favorite is the Elite Battery strap for the Quest 3. Turns out, however, that a lot of the units are faulty.
