Former first lady Ellen Casey, the widow of the late Pennsylvania Gov. Robert Casey, died Friday in Scranton, according to her son, U.S. Sen. Bob Casey. She was 91.

She served as first lady between 1987 and 1995 alongside Gov. Bob Casey. She is also the mother to current U.S. Sen. Bob Casey.
