Today, Governor Ned Lamont announced Phase 1b of Connecticut s COVID-19 vaccine rollout will begin this coming Monday, Jan. 18, with eligible residents able to schedule appointments now.
Phase 1b currently covers all persons age 75 or over, persons and staff of congregate settings, and frontline essential workers. In addition, Lamont plans on expanding those eligible under 1b in the coming weeks to include persons age 65 and over and those between 16-64 who have underlying health conditions. In total, just over 2 million residents will receive a vaccine by the end of 1b, over half of Connecticut s 3.5 million population.
