Kootenay and Yoho waterbodies closed

Parks Canada has closed all waterbodies and shorelines in Yoho National Park and Kootenay National Park until March 31 after finding a suspected case of whirling disease.

Parks Canada officials say “all options are on the table” to combat the recent discovery of deadly whirling disease in more waterbodies in Yoho and Kootenay national parks.
