(Reuters) - The World Health Organization does not have evidence that the monkeypox virus has mutated, a senior executive at the U.N. agency said on Monday, noting the infectious disease that is endemic in west and central Africa has tended not to change.

UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) bosses have now logged 57 cases in little over a fortnight. Boris Johnson today claimed it was important for No10 to keep an eye on the situation.

Another 36 monkeypox cases have been detected in the UK, taking the total to 56.
