Governor: No plans yet to impose stricter quarantine status in Davao de Oro

SunStar Photo by Davao de Oro + February 14, 2021 AFTER confirming that two of the three Covid-19 patients from Davao Region infected with the B.1.1.7. variant of the Sars-CoV-2 are from Davao de Oro, Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy said the province will remain under modified general community quarantine. Wala pa mi plano to elevate our quarantine status but we are doing contact tracing (F1, F2, to F3) sa nag-positive sa UK variant and we plan to test them (swab test through reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) immediately, Uy said in a text message on Sunday, February 14, 2021. The provincial government released a statement on its Facebook page confirming that the two patients were residents of Compostela and New Bataan, Davao de Oro after the Department of Health in Davao Region (DOH-Davao) informed them about the detection of variant cases on Saturday morning.

Colina IV DAVAO CITY – The Department of Health (DOH) has confirmed three individuals in Davao Region, one of whom from Davao City, came out positive for the more infectious coronavirus disease (COVID-19) UK variant, known as B.1.1.7. (MANILA BULLETIN)   The agency said, in a statement, that a 10-year old male, a 54-year old female, and a 33-year old female from the region are among the 19 additional cases who are infected with the new variant, which brought the total to 44 in the county as of Friday.   It added that the three patients, who are active cases with mild symptoms, do not have any known link to each other.
