Thousands of Memphis, Light, Gas & Water (MLGW) customers were left without power after strong storms swept through the Mid-South early Monday morning.
MLGW again warned customers to not give out personal information and to "remain vigilant" in protecting their account. It also said that an "essential" way to "thwart scams" is by keeping contact details up-to-date.

In a news release, MLGW asked customers to avoid non-essential water use until further noticed and to cease from dripping their faucets between 1-5 p.m. Thursday.
As Memphis Light, Gas and Water asks customers to conserve energy, the utility company's president and CEO told FOX13 that no rolling blackouts are planned at this time.
