Gaston County Police Department donated $2,000 to the annual Empty Stocking Fund Campaign sponsored by The Gazette and the Salvation Army.

Four volunteer fire departments are preparing for their fourth annual "Fill Santas Sleigh" to deliver gifts to families in need on Christmas Day.
