computer, he carries around a backpack. he s a journalist, but he s also a computer hacker, so he s very good at breaking encryption codes and getting stuff published but very low key and very hard to find. the question now is how do you prosecute him? he hasn t been to this country, that we know of, in at least four and a half months. so the question becomes if you want to prosecute him, how do you go about doing that if he s not in the united states? shannon: good questions. trace, thank you very much. let s pose that question to our next guest, josh rosen, to talk about this. josh, this guy has stayed just out of the reach of the law. can we get our hands on him? in this type of situation it s almost impossible to extend the reach of u.s. law to these types of actors. the army s criminal investigative division has attempted to set up a meeting with him on neutral ground just to discuss it. he s totally rejected that, so there s very little prospect that he ll come within the reach
