Now, you can automatically decline impromptu meeting invites by scheduling Focus Time entries on Google Calendar.

Google has introduced new ‘Focus time’ entries in Calendar to make it easier for users to block out time for heads-down individual work. The feature started rolling out on Wednesday to users on the Rapid Release list. It will be available for selected Workspace accounts.

Focus time will have a different appearance on users calendars. It includes the option to automatically decline conflicting events.

There's a new entry option called Focus Time available inside of Google Calendar for select users starting this month.

To help make scheduling dedicated work blocks a bit easier, Google is adding new focus time entries to Calendar. They can auto-decline meetings for you to help keep those times free and clear.

When enabled, the feature will automatically translate spoken language into another language, and produce captions on the fly. As of now, the feature supports English meetings which can be translated into Spanish, French, Portuguese, and German.
