A new federally mandated training program means changes for commercial vehicle operators.

With the bill being signed into law, New York becomes the last state to allow under-21 CDL holders.

A law passed this month in New York allows 18-20-year-olds to obtain a Class A CDL after completing a "CDL Class A Young Adult Training Program." Also: The 2022 Shell Rotella SuperRigs calendar is available to order; Paccar Parts names top shops.

To process and issue a CDL, ADOT will need to validate that an applicant has completed the new training requirements.
